5 must have shots for your website and social media.

You know that you need images for your business but you don't know what images to use or how to use them.

Let's break it down.

The first and in my opinion is the most important one, a killer profile image. This is typically a head and shoulders image of you looking at the camera with a smile on your face. The reason is our eyes are what connects us to others even in photos. It's the image that most people look at before deciding if they're going to inquire about your service. For this reason, it's crucial to make sure it's up to date because there's nothing that will make people think you're hiding something than if you don't look like your photo. (Ask anyone who's been catfished online dating.)

The 2nd type of image are professional lifestyle images. These are the images that show you working and living life. They provide some insight into you but they also share a feeling of what your clients can expect to feel after working with you. Do you give your clients confidence, peace of mind, and joy? We want to see these feelings in your lifestyle photos.

The 3rd type of shot you want is the "Behind the Scenes" type of shot. It's time to take a bit of the mystery away. People want to know what is going to happen when they work with you. The best way to do this is to show them in photos.

The 4th type of image is similar to professional lifestyle images except these are about being "off the clock" and a bit more where the "personal" of personal branding comes into play. We connect with others through the things we like outside of what we do. Crafting beautiful images of you being you is a great way to bond and engage with your clients. You only have to share what you're comfortable with but I love these kinds of images because they add a bit more of your personality to your marketing.

The 5th type of image are stock images. We’re not talking about the same images as everyone else, we’re talking about tools and items meaningful to you that can highlight your service or product. These images are a bit more generic but have a place in your marketing.

Now that you have a better idea of the types of images that we capture during a personal brand photo session, check and see what you're missing on your website and in your social media marketing.
