What to expect on the day

Once we've talked through your event, my job is to blend into the background and let things unfold naturally. You won't need to stop and pose for photos throughout the day, that's the point. The best event photos happen when people forget there's a camera in the room.

I'll arrive early to scope out the space and lighting, and I'll work from a shot list we put together in advance so I know what matters most to you: specific speakers, key moments, branding elements, or particular guests you want documented. From there, I move through the event capturing candid interactions, key moments on stage, and the overall atmosphere of the room, all while staying out of the way of your guests and your program.

After the event, you'll receive a curated selection of fully edited images, ready to use across your website, social media, internal newsletters, or wherever you need them. Turnaround time depends on the size of the event and the number of images, and rush delivery can be arranged if you have a tight deadline for a follow-up campaign, a recap email, or a same-week social post.

A few common questions

How far in advance should we book?

For larger events like conferences or product launches, 4 to 6 weeks notice is ideal, though I understand things come together quickly sometimes. Reach out as soon as you have a date and we'll go from there. Even if your event is coming up fast, it's always worth asking, I'll do what I can to accommodate.

Do you photograph events outside Burlington?

Yes. While I'm based in Burlington, I regularly travel throughout the GTA for corporate events, including Hamilton, Oakville, Mississauga, and Toronto. If your event is further out, just mention it when you reach out and we can discuss travel arrangements.

Can you also get headshots or team photos done at the same event?

Absolutely. If you'd like updated headshots or team photos as part of the day, just let me know when we're planning and we'll build in time for it. This is a popular add-on for conferences and offsites, since it's an easy way to get the whole team's headshots updated in one go.

What's the turnaround time for edited images?

This depends on the size of the event, but most clients receive their fully edited selection within one to two weeks. If you need a faster turnaround for a specific deadline, such as a same-week recap post or press release, let me know and we'll work it out.

Do you provide a contract or insurance documentation?

Yes. I'm happy to provide a service agreement and proof of insurance if your venue or company requires it for vendors. Just let me know what your event needs and I'll have it ready ahead of time.
